Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Table ("we", "us", "the App") for your use of the Table recipe app and website. By creating an account, browsing recipes, or otherwise using Table, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Table.

How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. What Table Is

Table is a personal recipe library. You can create recipes, import them from a public web page or social post you supply, organise them with categories, labels and notes, group them into recipe books, share a book with people you invite, and browse recipes other users have chosen to share.

Browsing shared recipes does not require an account. Saving, creating, importing, organising and sharing recipes are account-based features and require a free Table account.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create a Table account.
• If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services on your own, you must have reached that age, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
• You confirm that the information you give us when registering is accurate.

3. Your Account

• You need a valid email address, which you must confirm before you can sign in.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@mytablerecipes.com if you believe someone else has access to it.
• Accounts are for individual people. Do not share an account, and do not create accounts by automated means.
• You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile. What deletion removes and what it leaves in place is described in §4 of the Privacy Policy.

4. Free Plan and Table Premium

4.1 Plans

Table has a free plan with limits on how many recipes you can keep, how many recipes you can import per month, and how many books and book members you can have. Table Premium is a paid subscription that lifts those limits, subject to a fair-use cap on social-video imports. The current limits and prices are always shown in the app before you subscribe.

4.2 Billing

• Table Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your store account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings — Apple or Google Play. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you.
• Deleting your Table account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
• Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's policy. We do not process payments and never see your card details.
• If we change the price of a subscription, the change applies from your next renewal, and the store will ask you to confirm before charging the new price.

4.3 Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA)

Consumers in the EU and EEA have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. Because purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that right is exercised through the relevant store, under its terms and refund process.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Table, you agree not to:

• Upload, import or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or present someone else's work as your own.
• Attempt to access another user's account, data, or a recipe book you have not been invited to.
• Use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access, copy or extract Table's content or our users' content, or to create accounts or imports in bulk.
• Interfere with, overload or probe our servers, circumvent rate limits or plan limits, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.
• Use Table to build a competing dataset or service.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and we may remove content that does. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

6. Your Content

• You keep ownership of the recipes, notes and photos you add to Table.
• You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, translate and display your content for the purpose of operating Table for you — including showing it to members of a recipe book you share with them, and to other users through the shared recipe feed described below. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where §6 of these Terms or §4 of the Privacy Policy says otherwise.
• Shared feed: recipes you add to Table may appear to other users in the app's browse feed, with your identity removed. If you do not want a recipe visible to other users, do not add it to Table.
• If another user has saved a copy of a recipe you created, deleting your copy does not remove theirs. The same applies if you delete your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your own backup of anything you would not want to lose.

7. Imported and Third-Party Recipes

• When you paste a link, we fetch that public page and extract the recipe into your library. You are responsible for having the right to use the material you import, and for complying with the source site's own terms.
• Imported recipes keep a link back to their original source.
• Imports are processed automatically, including by AI, and may be incomplete or wrong. Always check an imported recipe against its source before cooking from it.
• Are you a rights holder who wants content removed? Write to support@mytablerecipes.com with the recipe and the original source, and we will remove it promptly.
• Table is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any recipe website or social platform a recipe may be imported from.

8. Recipes, Food Safety and Health

Table is a tool for organising recipes, not a source of nutritional, dietary, or medical advice. Recipes, ingredient lists, unit conversions, translations and allergen information may be incomplete or inaccurate, whether they were written by a user or extracted automatically from another source. You cook at your own risk. Check ingredients yourself if you have an allergy or intolerance, follow safe food-handling and cooking practices, and consult a qualified professional for dietary or medical questions.

9. Shared Recipe Books

• A book's owner controls who is invited and what role they get: owner, editor or viewer.
• Anyone with a valid invite link can join the book it belongs to, so treat invite links as private. An owner can deactivate a link at any time.
• Plan limits on a shared book follow the owner's plan, not each member's.
• If an owner deletes their account, ownership passes to another member where there is one.

10. Availability and Changes

We work to keep Table available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we may impose or adjust limits, including on free accounts. If a change materially reduces a feature you have paid for, you may cancel your subscription in your store account.

11. Termination

• You may stop using Table at any time and delete your account from your profile.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that we are required by law to close, or that has been inactive for an extended period. We will give reasonable notice unless the breach is serious or notice is not possible.
• Closing an account does not refund an unused subscription period; refunds are handled by the store you bought from.

12. Disclaimers and Liability

Table is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or lost profits.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intent or gross negligence. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes will be brought before the competent Dutch courts. If you are a consumer resident in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there where that law allows it.

14. Apple App Store Terms

For Table installed from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are between you and Table only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Table or its content.
• Apple grants you a non-transferable licence to use Table on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Table. Support requests go to support@mytablerecipes.com.
• If Table fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Table. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to Table, including product liability claims, claims that Table fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation, as well as any third-party claim that Table infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email. Continued use of Table after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
