The best recipe keeper apps in 2026, honestly compared
We make Table, so we're not neutral — but we've tried to be fair. Below is what each popular recipe organizer does well, where it runs, how it charges, and whether it can save recipes from Instagram and TikTok. Pick the one that fits how you cook.
Last checked: September 2026, against each app's official website and App Store listing. Prices change, so we describe pricing models rather than exact amounts. Spot something out of date? Email support@mytablerecipes.com.

Table
Best for: people who find most recipes on Instagram, TikTok and food blogs, and cook with a partner or family.
Table turns recipes from any website, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Pinterest into an editorial, magazine-style cookbook — share them straight to Table, and it reads the video's spoken instructions when the caption is thin. It suggests a dinner from your own collection every day, has a community Discover feed, scales servings, converts between metric and US units, translates foreign-language recipes, and lets you organize with your own tags. Recipes live in books you can share with editor or viewer roles. It runs in any browser, including on Windows and Chromebooks.
Where it falls short: no meal planner or shopping list yet, and the native iPhone and Android apps aren't in the stores yet (the web app installs to your home screen in the meantime).
Paprika 3
Best for: people who want to pay once and own their app.
A long-standing favorite with a built-in browser for importing from websites, plus a meal planner, a grocery list sorted by aisle, and pantry tracking. Each platform is bought separately.
Mela
Best for: Apple-only households who like a polished, native feel.
Imports from websites and from video descriptions on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, and shares a library with other iCloud users. Meal plans go to Apple Calendar and groceries to Reminders. Not available on Android or Windows.
Recipe Keeper
Best for: digitizing cookbooks and handwritten cards.
Available on nearly every platform, with website and social imports, a meal planner, an aisle-sorted shopping list and text scanning for printed recipes.
Samsung Food
Best for: meal planning and discovering new recipes.
Formerly Whisk. Saves recipes from websites, has a large recipe catalog, a meal planner, shopping lists and grocery-delivery integrations, with an optional paid tier.
ReciMe
Best for: heavy social-media savers who also want nutrition info.
Imports from websites and from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest, with a meal planner, grocery list and nutrition. The free tier caps imports per week.
Pestle and Crouton
Best for: Apple users who want guided, step-by-step cooking.
Both are Apple-only apps with website import, meal planning and household sync. Pestle adds guided cooking and SharePlay; Crouton adds a weekly meal planner that can fill itself in.
